After almost a month following former President Donald Trump’s conviction by a New York City jury on May 30, Missouri Republican Attorney General Andrew Bailey announced on June 20 that his state is suing New York for its “direct attack on our democratic process through unconstitutional lawfare against President Trump”.

That’s good — better late than never — as Bailey stands as the first Republican Attorney General to actually announce such a lawsuit, with not much time before Trump’s scheduled sentencing on July 11, which could imprison to presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

A U.S. congresswoman filed an ethics complaint against the special prosecutor in a criminal case against former President Donald Trump, the presumptive 2024 Republican nominee for the same position.

Representative Elise Stefanik (R-NY-21) said in a statement on X that special counsel Jack Smith, who is prosecuting Trump for allegedly keeping classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, is interfering with the 2024 election process by attempting to speed up Trump’s criminal trial.

Former President Donald Trump’s supporters plan to back him even if he’s convicted of a felony before the November election.

The Center Square Voters’ Voice Poll, conducted in conjunction with Noble Predictive Insights, found that 84 percent of Trump voters would vote for him in November even if he was convicted of a felony before the election.
