Former President Donald Trump is ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris in all of the top swing states as the end of the presidential race draws closer, according new RealClearPolitics polling averages.

Trump has a 0.8 point lead pulling 48.3% support across seven key battleground states compared to Harris at 47.5%, according to the polling averages. The Republican presidential nominee is ahead of Harris in the states of Wisconsin, Georgia, Michigan, Arizona, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Nevada. on October 16, 2024 in Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania.

The bipartisan infrastructure law of 2021, the CHIPS Act and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) have cumulatively routed billions of dollars to battleground states over the course of Biden’s first term. The Biden campaign is running swing state ads to promote the funding and projects that Biden’s legislative agenda has created, but state and national pundits told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the benefits are unlikely to be a decisive factor in states like Arizona, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Three crucial battleground states have experienced a drop in Democratic voter registration since late 2020 and ahead of a November rematch with former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden, election data shows.

Nevada, North Carolina and Pennsylvania — which saw some of the closest presidential elections last cycle — all currently have less registered Democratic voters overall than in late 2020, according to the most recent state records. While Democrats still lead Republicans in party registration, the margins in these states are much smaller than before.
